Mom and Dad spent much time making me the person who I am today.  The feeling of helping others, and trying to make the world just a bit better through my deeds and words, were all instilled into my being by my parents.  They would always be at my little league baseball or school basketball games.  They were there to help me with a problem, or to give me some tough love when necessary.

For this special day celebrating mothers everywhere, be sure to make it special for all the mothers out there.  If your mom is no longer with me, take a few minutes to remember what made them special.

So for today, I’m thankful for my mom and for all those mothers out there to work hard to set a good example for their children.  Happy Mother’s Day.
